From as early as I can remember my favourite pastime was to create. I was happiest when drawing, painting or constructing with various modelling mediums... some things never change!!
I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me and I am constantly in awe of its wonderful Creator; this is something I try to convey in my art.
I graduated from Stranmillis University College in 2005, achieving a Bachelor of Education degree with first class honours, specialising in Art and Design. This was a busy year as I got married the same Summer. I have been privileged to teach lots of amazing children since and my husband and I have been blessed with three wonderful boys.
During the 2020 lockdown I found some time to pick up my paintbrushes again. Painting helped distract me from what was happening and after some encouragement from family and friends, I tentatively started an Instagram page and posted some of my art work. To my delight and surprise, people started to inqure about and purchase my work and I have been kept busy ever since with commissions. I am amazed that some of my artwork is in homes across the world.
Painting is my way to relax and unwind from the pressures of daily life. I am so thankful for each one of you that has chosen my artwork for your homes. I feel blessed to be able to do what I love. I hope that some of the joy I have in creating is translated through my paintings, to inspire and be enjoyed by all who view them.
